Abstract

One way to improve accessibility is to improve the quality of public transportation. The existence of public transportation is very helpful for the community's economy as well as helping to improve the quality of an area or country. Walking is the greatest accessibility, but besides that, of course there must be support to facilitate the work of the community. However, to improve the quality of course there are several obstacles that occur that cause obstacles in these activities. Service is something that is definitely given to everyone, especially public services, it accesses all forms of purpose. This study aims to find out what things must be updated and maintained by the Pekanbaru City Transportation Office. The method in this study uses the theory of William Dunn (in Riant Nugroho, 2009; 537), with a descriptive type with a qualitative approach, which prioritizes a list of interviews as a data collection tool and conducts observations to see firsthand how the actual situation is as well as documentation as evidence that the observation is true. The results of the study indicate that there are several things that must be improved, such as work suitability based on Standard Operating Procedures, paying attention to the use of technology to make the organization's work easier. This can be determined by six indicators from the theory, namely Effectiveness, Efficiency, Adequacy, Equity, Responsiveness and Accuracy.
