Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility is a company's commitment in implementing the objectives of corporate social responsibility. Companies that manage natural resources are required to carry out their social responsibilities as mandated in Article 74 of Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies. Based on the above background, the main problem in writing this thesis is how the implementation of CSR carried out by PT ELNUSA TBK to the Semangko Village Community and what are the inhibiting factors for the implementation of PT ELNUSA TBK's CSR to the Semangko Village community. The research method in writing this thesis is a research with observation research method or survey method, namely research that takes samples from a population and uses interviews as a data collection tool, while from the nature of this research it is descriptive, the research location is at PT ELNUSA TBK, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, Marang District. Semangko Village Wood. The results of this thesis research that PT ELNUSA TBK is a company that operates in the village of Semangka, Kutai Kartanegara Regency is a service company that manages natural resources. That PT ElNUSA TBK is obliged to carry out its social responsibility to the surrounding community. The company has been providing physical and social assistance as described by the author, such as taking part in religious holidays, scholarship assistance and employment opportunities. lack of efficiency in the implementation of sustainable CSR, the importance of the role of stakeholders in helping the implementation of CSR to be more efficient and able to provide social welfare and provide sustainable development which is as mandated by the Limited Liability Company Law. Whereas the implementation of PT ELNUSA TBK's CSR, there are several factors that make the implementation less than optimal, including the ELNUSA company is a service company which means that when the service or service has run out it will move to another area, then the community factor who does not understand the mandatory CSR implemented by PT ELNUSA TBK and assumes that CSR is only limited to the Company's donations to the surrounding community. Then the Stakeholder factor is very important in terms of a more efficient and sustainable CSR implementation. That some of these factors affect the implementation of PT ELNUSA TBK's CSR.
