Abstract

The Relationship between Arm Muscle Strength and Leg Muscle Explosive Power Against Lay-Up Shoots of Bolabasket in Extracurricular SMP N 9 Pekanbaru This study aims to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength and leg muscle explosive power against basketball shoot lay-ups in extracurricular activities at SMP N 9 Pekanbaru. The type of research used in this study is correlation. The research instruments used were arm muscle strength test, vertical jump test and basketball shoot lay up test. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing, for the relationship between arm muscle strength and basketball shoot lay-up or variable X1 to Y, it is obtained rcount > rtabel or 0.637 > 0.602, for the relationship between leg muscle explosive power and basketball shoot lay-up or variable X2 to Y obtained rcount > rtabel or 0.741 > 0.602, while for the relationship between arm muscle strength and leg muscle explosive power to the ability of basketball or variable shoot lay-ups X1, X2 to Y, it was obtained rcount > rtabel or 0.759 > 0.602, it was known that there was a significant relationship between muscle strength. the explosive power of the leg muscles on the result of the basketball lay-up shoot.
