Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility or also called corporate social responsibility is "a concern for companies that set aside a portion of their profits (profit) for the benefit of human development (people) and the environment (planet) in a sustainable manner based on appropriate and professional procedures, especially corporate social responsibility. Internal responsibility in this case is the responsibility to its employees and do not forget the responsibility to the environment around the company. Based on the background above, the main problem in writing this thesis is how to regulate corporate social responsibility in Indonesia and how to implement corporate social and environmental responsibility at PDAM Tirtanadi Pandan. The research method in writing this thesis uses observational research or survey methods, namely research that takes samples from a population and uses interviews as a means of collecting basic data, while from the nature of this research is descriptive, the location of this research is PDAM Tirtanadi Pandan. The results of the research in this thesis are that Tirtanadi Pandan's BUMD has not carried out CSR activities which are the obligations and responsibilities of the company which is a challenge to Law No. 40 of 2007 concerning Social and Environmental Responsibility. So far, the company has only provided assistance in the form of free services and installations for the poor, while for sustainable activities there is no plan or program for environmental and social development, either assistance for micro-enterprises or progress programs for the community
