Abstract

This research was motivated by tha lack of students’ learning achievement in learning interest. Research formulation in this research questioned was there any influence of learning interest on students’ learning achievement of class VIII in moral aqidah subject at Islamic junior high school Fadhilah Pekanbaru. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of learning interest on students’ learning achievement of Class VIII in moral aqidah subject at Islamic junior high school Fadhilah Pekanbaru. This research used quantitative research by using correlational design that connected two variables. The subject in this research was students at Islamic junior high school Fadhilah Pekanbaru. The population and sample involved 90 students. The data collection used questionnaire and documentation by likert scale. From hypothesis test analysis with significant score 0.002 < 0.05, it could be concluded that the hypothesis in this research was stated that there was any influence of learning interest on students’ learning achievement of class VIII in moral aqidah subject at Islamic junior high school Fadhilah Pekanbaru. The influence could be seen from summary table with R square score in 0.107 or 10.7%. it showed that students’ learning achievement was influenced by students’ interest in 10.7% with very low criteria. It could be concluded that research finding explained there was any influence of learning interest on students’ learning achievement of class VIII in moral aqidah subject at Islamic junior high school Fadhilah Pekanbaru.
