Abstract

This research is motivated by the development of performance appraisal instruments on the material for writing official letters. The problems in this study are (1) What is the level of validity of developing a performance appraisal instrument on official letter writing materials at YLPI Junior High School Pekanbaru for the 2022/2023 Academic Year (2) What is the practicality level of developing a performance appraisal instrument for writing official letter writing materials at YLPI Junior High School Pekanbaru Academic Year? 2022/2023 (3) how effective is the development of performance appraisal instruments on official letter writing materials at YLPI Pekanbaru Junior High School for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The aims of this study were (1) to determine the level of validity of developing performance appraisal instruments on official letter writing materials at YLPI Junior High School Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023 academic year (2) to determine the practicality of developing performance appraisal instruments in writing official letter writing materials at YLPI Junior High School Pekanbaru in the 2022 academic year. /2023 (3) Knowing the level of effectiveness of the [10.12, 4/11/2022] Chindy Nurfadillah: development of performance appraisal instruments on the material for writing official letters at YLPI Pekanbaru Junior High School for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The research method used is 4-D model development research. Data collection techniques used are interviews, questionnaires, tests. Data analysis techniques analyze the validity, practicality and effectiveness. The conclusion in this study is that the development of a performance appraisal instrument on the material for writing official letters has met the valid criteria with a score of 3.58 which is categorized as very valid, has met the practical criteria with a score of 3.60 which is categorized as very practical and has met the effectiveness criteria with a score of 81 which is effectiveness category.
