Abstract

Riau is the largest palm oil producing province in Indonesia with an area of 2,430.51 ha and production reaching 8,605.65 tonnes. Demand for the quality of palm oil commodities from Riau Province. This commodity is getting more legitimate because it is in demand by the world market. Many guidebooks that describe and introduce about superior oil palm seeds are still deemed ineffective in providing information to farmers on the forms of superior oil palm seeds. This research aims to build an application based on Augmented Reality (AR) to introduce and provide information on oil palm seeds, oil palm fruit and fertilizers. This AR application uses the ARCore SDK library and 3D displays with markerless techniques. Based on the test, this application can display superior palm seeds animated in dim light with 11 light intensity and distance of 250cm.
