Abstract

Aramid synthetic fiber is one of the most widely used fibers for automotive component needs. Where synthetic aramid fibers or known in the market as Kevlar are widely used as accessories or body components in motorized vehicle parts, both cars and motorcycles. Problems that often occur in vehicle bodies that use handmade or custom-made fibers are often broken due to hard impacts caused by the vehicle having an accident or hitting an object on the road. This study uses an additional solution (C12 H22 O11) as a mixture that aims to slow down the freezing of the serine epoxy mixture which makes it easier for the fiber application steps to be printed. To determine the mechanical properties of aramid synthetic fiber composite materials, it is necessary to test the bending toughness and impact strength. With variations in fiber composition is 15% fiber + 85% resin. 15% fiber + 75% resin + 10% sugar. 15% fiber + 65% resin + 20% sugar. 15% fiber + 55% resin + 30% sugar. Then the specimen will be tested and data will be obtained from the test results, then the data will be analyzed to obtain or find out the best composite variation. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, it is obtained that the composite variation that has the best material properties is the variation of 15% fiber + 65% resin + 20% sugar which produces the best bending test elongation value of 7.0%, 133? the best impact test beta value is 125?
