Abstract
Management is a translation of Manajement. itself is a process to achieve the goals that you want to achieve. This research aims to describe how the management of village market management in Tapung Hilir sub-district is Pasar Senin Desa Kijang Makmur, and Pasar Raya Desa Tanah Tinggi and whether the factors hampering Market Management in Tapung Hilir sub-district namely Monday Market of Kijang Makmur Village and Pasar Raya Tanah Tinggi Village. Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 42 of 2007 on Village Market, mentions that the village market is a traditional market located in the village and managed and developed by the village government and village communities. The village market is one of the village assets in accordance with the law No. 6 of 2014 on Village article 72 which discusses village assets. In this study using the management theory according to George R. Terry in Siswanto which states that management is a special process consisting of planning is an activity that determines the things that must be done in order to achieve a predetermined goal and how to do it, organizing is as a structure of authority and customs in the relationship between people in the administrative system, implementation is to awaken and encourage all members of the community to be willing and strive hard to achieve the goal sincerely and in accordation with the planning and organizing efforts of the leadership, and supervision is the activity of evaluating the implementation of activities and improving the actions that have been implemented to obtain certainty to achieve the planned results, which are carried out to determine and achieve the targets that have been determined through the utilization of human resources and others. Researchers used descriptive qualitative research by interviewing informants against pre-determined key informants, obtaining data that was then processed and analyzed as a result of the study. The designated informants are the village head of Kijang Makmur and the head of Tanah Tinggi village, the secretary as well as the device of the prosperous kijang village and the village of the high ground involved in the management of the village market.
