Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of reward and punishment on employee motivation at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru. The population in this study were 133 employees. Sampling using purposive sampling method that is part of the population sampled as many as 36 people. The types and sources of data are primary and secondary data, while the data collection techniques use observation, questionnaires and interviews. Analysis of the data used in this study is the analysis of the structural model, namely t test, r-square test and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that reward and punishment have a positive and significant effect on employee motivation at PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru. The level of relationship between the two variables in the strong category, which means the ability of the independent variable to explain the dependent variable is good.
