Abstract

This research aims to find the Representation of Communication Principles In Islam Through tjokoaminoto leadership style in the film "Guru Bangsa : Tjokoroaminoto" by using John Fiske's semiotic analysis using The codes Of Television method. The film was directed by Garin Nugroho andproduced by Pic[k]lock Films and MHS Films with writers Ari Syarif and Erik Supit. Starring Reza Rahadian (Tjokroaminoto) as a teacher and also a leader of the first Islamic Organization at the time communicated the values of his thinking in ( organizing and in educating the youth of the time. The communication delivered by Tjokoroaminoto so as to affect more than two million Indonesians who were then part of the Islamic Sarikat Organization led by him is an interesting learning. therefore the character is interesting to analyse, in thisfilm there are scenes that wantto be examined through John Fiske's semiotic theory. That is, with a three-level coding model, butthe focus of this research is on the representation stage. Representation level is narrative (narative), conflict, character, action, setting and dialogue. The subject in this study is Film Guru Bangsa Tjokroaminoto, while the object in this study is the Representation of Communication Principles in Islam in the film Guru Bangsa Tjokroaminoto. The data collection techniques used are with observation and library studies.. The results of this study show that Tjokroaminoto in the film Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto is portrayed as a figure and leader of Islam. If viewed contextually in communication, Tjokroaminoto does not really show how islamic communication is conducted. But in a sense it is seen that communication Islam was builtby Tjokroaminoto.
