Abstract

he purpose of the study was to determine the interaction effect of POC Punica application and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth and production of tomato plants. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, for four months from January to May 2022. The design used was a factorial completely randomized design consisting of two factors. The first factor was POC Punica (P) consisting of 4 levels, namely without treatment, 3.0 ml, 6.0 ml, 9.0 ml per liter of water and the second factor was NPK 16:16:16 (N) consisting of 4 levels. ie without treatment, 5 g, 10 g, 15 g per polybag. Parameters observed were plant height, age of flower emergence, number of productive branches, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of fruit per fruit, and number of leftover fruit. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with a further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the level of 5%. The results showed that the interaction of POC Punica and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on the parameters for observing plant height, age of flowering, weight of planted fruit and number of fruit residues and did not significantly affect the parameters of the number of productive branches, harvest age, number of planted fruits and weight. fruit. The best treatment (P3N3). The main effect of POC Punica had a significant effect on all observation parameters, with the best treatment being 9.0 ml/l water. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on all observation parameters, with the best treatment being 15 g/polybag.
