Abstract

This study aims to: (1) identify the Mathematics learning outcomes of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu; and to (2) determine the inhibiting factors for mastery of Mathematics subject matter in class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu. This research design is included in the descriptive method research design with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The subjects of this study were 64 students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu for the 2019/2020 academic year. The research instrument used research interview sheets. Research data collection techniques using interview techniques and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed descriptively, namely using the completeness formula and average formula, then the results of the interview were also analyzed descriptively. Through the research results, it was found that: (1) the Mathematics learning outcomes of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu were known from the daily test scores with the subject matter of induction. Through the learning outcomes data of 64 students, that only half (50%) had complete learning outcomes, while the other half (50%) had not yet completed the KKM 75. The average score of students' Mathematics learning outcomes was 74.27. In other words, the average student learning outcomes are not yet complete. This condition indicates that there are still many students taking remedial of Mathematics subject matter; and (2) the inhibiting factor of mastery of Mathematics subject matter in class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu is the fatigue factor due to the mathematics lesson schedule at the end of school learning, then psychological factors in the form of interest in Mathematics and motivation in learning Mathematics, then school environmental factors. with the limited Mathematics learning facilities owned by SMA Negeri 2 Siak Hulu.
