Abstract

This research was motivated by different beliefs, religions, culture ethnics in some students, and they were belief that their opinions or understanding were true and ignoring others opinions or understanding. This research formulation stated that was there any effort of Islamic education teachers in implementing Islamic moderation attitudes to students at SMP N 6 Siak Hulu Kampar. The purpose in this research was to know the effort of Islamic education teachers in implementing Islamic moderation attitudes to students at SMP N 6 Siak Hulu Kampar. This research used case study approach with qualitative research. The main informant was Islamic education teachers namely Muhammad Fadli, Mona Ferlisa, S.Pd, Rahmawati, M.A and supporting informant was Islamic education substitute teacher and also the head master of this school namely H Ahmad Ikrom Tanjung. Data collection technique in this research used interview and documentation. Data analysis technique in qualitative research was data cleaning,transcript, coding, categorization, and interpretation. This research findings showed that there were some efforts of Islamic education teachers in implementing Islamic moderation attitudes to students such as: became secondary parent, prioritizing transparency attitude. Prioritizing ukhuwah feelings, developing social benefit (ummah benefit), optimizing and guiding students’ announcement, caring and concern, tolerant attitude, teaching based on Hadiths, prioritizing family attitude, democratic, showing sincere, and became students’ advisor, equalizing students’ position in school law, freedom of speech in teaching and learning activity, provided examples and description based on handbook.
