Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine students' interest in learning Physical Education at YLPI Islamic Junior High School Pekanbaru. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this research is 55 students of SMP Islam YLPI Pekanbaru. The sample technique is a saturated sample with a sample size of 55 students. The indicators of interest in learning in the questionnaire are divided into 4 indicators, namely: 1) Feelings of pleasure, 2) student interest, 3) Attention, 4) student involvement. The number of initial statements is designed to be 31 statement items and after the validity test becomes 24 statement items. The results of this study were the students' interest in Physical Education learning at SMP Islam YLPI Pekanbaru with an average of 78% in the strong category.
