Abstract

ABSTRACT Muhammad Aulia Rahman. 2020. Motivation of Grade IX Students Against Football Games in Learning Physical Education at SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru The purpose of this study was to determine how much motivation grade 9 students towards playing football in learning physical education at SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study was 125 students of grade 9 SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru. The sample technique is a random sample with a sample size of 40 students. The motivation indicators in the questionnaire are divided into 10 indicators, namely: 1) mastering skills in playing football, 2) getting knowledge of football sports, 3) developing attitudes to be successful, 4) wanting to be accepted by others, 5) enjoying sports / playing football, 6) praise / appreciation, 7) friends, 8) sports teachers, 9) school facilities, 10) neighborhood. The number of initial statements is designed to be 50 statement items and after the validity test becomes 42 statement items. The results of this study were the students' motivation towards playing football in physical education learning at SMP An Namiroh Pekanbaru with an average of 84% in the good category.
