Abstract

This research was conducted at the Public Works Office of Spatial Planning, Public Housing and Settlement Areas of Siak Regency, while the purpose and this study were aimed at explaining the implementation of Siak Regency government supervision of buildings that did not yet have a IMB, while the usefulness of this research was as input and correction for Siak Regency Spatial Planning Officer. It is hoped that this research will also be able to increase the writer's knowledge and understanding of government programs and be a reference material for future researchers with the same subject matter. In line with the objectives of this study, the population of this study is the Head of Office, Head of Spatial Planning, Sections of Spatial Planning which consist of Spatial Planning Section, Spatial Planning and Utilization Section and Spatial Supervision and Control Section. The sampling technique for Spatial Planning employees is to use a census where the entire population is sampled in the study. Supervisory theory that researchers use is the theory of stoner, freeman, and gilbert (in Sule, Ernie Tisnawati & Kurniawan Saeful, 2005: 17) which consists of setting standards and methods of work assessment, work appraisal, assessors whether performance meets standards or not and taking action correction. From the results of the discussion conducted by researchers on each sub-indicator, it came to pass that the implications of building supervision that do not yet have a IMB by the Spatial Planning Division of Siak Regency are categorized as Less Effective with a percentage of 46%. This is due to lack of public awareness in fulfilling their obligations, still lack of socialization from the Spatial Planning Sector of Siak Regency regarding IMB to the community.
