Abstract

Government employees are people who work in government agencies to provide services to the community, government employees are divided into two namely ASN (State Civil Apparatus) and PPPK (Government Employees With Work Agreements). When working, employees need organizational commitment to carry out the agency's vision and mission, besides that there are many factors that determine a person's organizational commitment, one of which is demographic factors which are divided into gender, age, employment status, marital status, education level and years of service. This study aims to determine differences in organizational commitment to ASN and PPPK BKKBN Riau Province in terms of demographic factors. The subjects in this study were 80 employees of ASN and PPPK BKKBN Riau Province. Researchers use a total sampling technique. The data collection method uses an Organizational Commitment scale, which amounts to 22 items. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, the conclusions obtained from six hypotheses, only one was accepted, namely there were differences in BKKBN employees based on gender with a significance value of 0.045 where thevalue was smaller than 0.05.
