Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the heavy metal elements and how much concentration of dangerous and toxic heavy metals (B3) spread in the research area, to find out the pattern of distribution and recommendations for what countermeasures are good if it has to be done. The benefits of this research are expected to provide information or references for academics, government or related institutions in Kuantan Singingi Regency in an effort to minimize and anticipate the risk of expanding the spread of metal chemical elements (B3) from gold mining waste. The metal chemical element test method uses the ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) test method on soil and water samples. In the results of testing soil and water samples using ICP in the study area, there are several metal elements (B3) namely Arsenic (As), Copper (Cu), Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Nickel (Ni) and Zinc (Zn). , The results of the ICP test on soil and water samples were then compared with environmental quality standards according to PPRI No. 22 of 2021. The results of the pH test on the three water samples are that the water has an neutral pH. Secondary data in the form of data on the results of the liquid limit test and the results of the plastic limit test. Analysis of the relationship between the results of the ICP test data for soil and water samples, the pH of the water, and the results of the liquid limit and plastic limit tests. On the map the distribution pattern of each metal element has a different distribution direction.
