Abstract

Abstract Implementation of Media Relations Public Relations of PT PLN (Persero) Riau and Riau Archipelago Units Agung Benardo 189110115 This researcher aims to find out how the implementation of public relations at PT PLN (Persero) Riau and Riau Islands Region Units in carrying out the implementation of media relations by PLN public relations. This researcher focuses more on and describes the implementation of media relations by public relations on how they establish good relations with the media. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach which aims to obtain a descriptive result of the symptoms being observed. As well as describing and describing the implementation of media relations by public relations at PT PLN (Persero) Riau and Riau Islands Regional Units. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used in this study used an interactive model consisting of of three stages, namely data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (display), and conclusions (conclusions drawing/verifiying). The subject of this research is 1 public relations employee of PT PLN (Persero) Riau and Riau Islands Regional Unit who is in direct contact with the media crew related to the implementation of media relations at PLN, namely the Communication Assistant Manager as the one who deals with the media crew. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of media relations by public relations at PT PLN (Persero) Riau and Riau Islands Regional Unit carried out several activities such as press conferences, routine media gantering once a month before the pandemic, media visits and coffee mornings where we invite media friends for coffee together. In addition, PT PLN (Persero) Riau and Riau Islands Regional Unit cooperates with various media, including the Pekanbaru tribune, goriau and riau pos.
