Abstract

Consumer protection in the sale of 3 kg LPG gas must always be provided to people in need, especially the poor. Because in the field what happens is people who are rich or are said to be capable of using this 3 kg LPG Raskin allocation. If we look at law number 20 of 2008, this is not true. Therefore, referring to business law is a legal instrument that regulates the procedure and implementation of a trade, industrial, or financial activity related to the exchange of goods and services, production activities or an activity of placing money carried out by entrepreneurs. business with other businesses and businesses, where Entrepreneurs have considered all possible risks. Based on the above background, the authors are interested in conducting research. The main problem in this research is how consumer protection and inhibiting factors in the sale of 3 kg LPG gas in the district of fifty cities of Pekanbaru are reviewed from Law No. 8 of 1999. This research method in view of the type of research can be grouped into observational research research by means of surveys, meaning that the authors conduct research directly to the research location to obtain information and data needed in writing this scientific paper. The survey research is research that takes samples from one population using interviews as the main data collection tool while the nature of this research is descriptive, namely the author tries to provide a detailed description of how to protect and inhibit factors for the sale of 3 kg LPG gas in fifty cities. Pekanbaru. The results showed that the protection and inhibiting factors of 3 kg lpg gas in the district of fifty cities of Pekanbaru did not go well. And there are still a lot of improvements in the future. Even though the government as Pertamina has provided supervision and also an understanding of the mechanism for the sale of 3 kg LPG gas, there are still mistakes that are not right on target and are also fraudulent some rogue traders who are looking for profit alone, therefore it is necessary to review law number 8 of 1999 regarding protection. consumer.
