Abstract

This research used qualitative method with case study approach. This research was motivated by lack of Muslim students religiosity. This research focused on how Islamic education teachers effort in improving muslim students religiosity (case study senior high school 1 Bandar petalangan Pelalawan regency). The purpose in this research examined to know how theislamic education teachers’ effort in improving muslim students religiosity because it still was found the problem about lack of religiosity where some students could not understand and implemented Islamic value. The subject in this research was Islamic education teacher at senior high school 1 Bandar petalangan Pelalwan Regency. Meanwhile the object in this research was the effort of Islamic education teachers in improving muslim students religiosity. After direct research in the location, it could take conclusion that: Islamic education teachers in improving muslim students’ religiosity at senior high school 1 Bandar Petalangan Pelalawan Regency classified into good category. Teachers gave maximum effort in improving muslim students’ religiosity by giving belief and understanding about Allah SWT, angels, prophet, giving appropriate Islamic doctrine, celebrate Islamic day, muhadaroh, congregational Dzuhur prayer, teachers gave lesson and good attitude, accustomed to Islamic culture, respected all school member, reciting Al-Qurâan and learned it, the method should suitable and appropriate with students request and it made easy in teaching and learning process and it made easy in improving students religiosity. The main factor about lack of religiosity was caused by the students themselves.
