Abstract
ABSTRACT Tourism is a community activity in developing investment, increasing employment, and being able to lift the image of a tourism destination. The growth of tourism as an industry must consider the guarantee that tourism resources are maintained and enjoyed by future generations. The continuous development of tourism does not always have a good impact on the surrounding community and the environment around the tourist attraction. There are still many local people who have not been properly absorbed in their energy and thoughts in tourism activities. It is hoped that the application of the concept of community-based tourism will create more new jobs that are able to absorb and take advantage of local communities in tourism destination management activities. This raises a research question, namely how is the success of community based tourism in Tanjung Belit Village, Kampar Kiri Hulu District? From the questions above, this research aims to (1) find out the components of tourism in Tanjung Belit Village, (2) analyze community based tourism as a concept of tourism development in Tanjung Belit village and (3) tourism development in Tanjung Belit Village by assessing community based tourism . This study uses primary data in the form of field observations and questionnaires as well as secondary data, analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods and analyzed using the Likert scale method. The results showed the identification of tourism components in Tanjung Belit Village including attractions, accessibility, additional facilities and services. The aspects of implementing community based tourism in the development of tourism in Tanjung Belit Village include analysis of economic, social, cultural, environmental and political aspects.
