Abstract

The problem in this study is that some of the forehand service players are still out. This is because the basic technique movement of the service is still lacking, the reflection of the ball in the bet is still not well targeted. The service that is carried out is also not too hard this makes the service that is done not deadly. In terms of training, the training has provided good practice for students, but it seems that some students look less enthusiastic when practicing and tend to want to play table tennis. This study aims to determine the relationship of arm muscle strength and eye and hand coordination to the ability to serve forehand table tennis at the Tualang Table Tennis Association in Siak Regency. This type of research is a correlational research that is a statistical tool, which can be used to compare the results of measurements of two or more different variables in order to determine the level of relationship between these variables. The population is the whole subject of research, the population in this study are all junior players in the Tualang Table Tennis Association of Siak Regency who do table tennis exercises totaling 15 people. This research sample uses a total sampling technique, meaning that the entire population is sampled. So that the number of samples in this study were 15 sons. Based on the analysis of the data obtained the correlation between arm muscle strength and hand eye coordination with forehand table tennis, where Ryx1x2 (0.616)> rtable (0.514). it means that the hypothesis is accepted and there is a correlation between arm muscle strength and eye and hand coordination to the ability of the table tennis forehand service at the Tualang Table Tennis Association of Siak Regency. Contributions generated amounted to 34.63%, while the remainder amounted to 65.37%.
