Abstract
This study entitled The Effect of Adding Cricket Flour to the Entomopathogenic Fungus Beauveria bassiana on the Larvae of the Fire Caterpillar Setothosea asigne van Eecke. Under the guidance of Mr. Ir. Sulhaswardi, MP and Mr. Mahardika Gama Pradana, M.Sc. This research was carried out at the Protection Laboratory, Oil Palm Research Center (PPKS) Marihat Unit, when this research was carried out for four months, from October 2021 to January 2022. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of adding cricket flour to the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana and mortality. larvae of the fireworm Setothosea asigne van Eecke. The design used was a completely randomized non-factorial design consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were cricket flour with 0% cricket flour concentration without administration or control, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2%. The parameters observed were the colony area of Beauveria bassiana, spore density of Beauveria bassiana, the time of death of the larvae of Setothosea asigna and the mortality of the larvae of the caterpillars of Setothosea asigna. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the level of 5%. The results showed that various concentrations of cricket flour had a significant effect on the observation parameters, namely colony area, spore density, time of death and mortality. The best concentration of cricket flour was 0.5% on the growth of colony area and spore density of Beauveria bassiana. The effect of adding cricket flour to the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana significantly affected the time of death and mortality of the larvae of the caterpillar Setothosea asigna. With the best treatment is 0.5%.
