Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction effect of soaking time on various concentrations of goat urine on sweet orange cuttings. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11 No. 113 Perhentian Marpoyan, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. The study was carried out for 4 months, from February to May 2021. The design used in the study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the immersion time (L) which consists of 4 levels, namely: 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours. The second factor is goat urine (K) which consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 100, 200 and 300 ml per liter of water. Observation parameters: percentage of cuttings life, age of shoot emergence, number of shoots per plant, number of leaves per plant, longest shoot length and root volume. Result data were analyzed statistically. If the calculated F is greater than the F table, then it is continued with a further test of the honest real difference (BNJ) at the level of 5%. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: The interaction of soaking time and goat urine concentration has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was 8 hours of soaking with goat urine concentration of 300 ml/l water (L4K3). The main effect of immersion time was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was soaking 8 hours (L4). The main effect of goat urine concentration was significant on all observation parameters, where the best treatment was the concentration of 300 ml/l water (K3).
