Abstract
After a long period of production, oil production has decreased due to problems in the piping system caused by obstacles or damage in the pipes which have an impact on the obstruction of fluid to flow to the collection station. There are several factors that cause obstacles in the pipe such as the presence of wax, corrosion and scale where these substances will produce various types of dirt that will hinder the passage of the fluid in the pipe. This requires proper handling so that the rate of production will increase again. To deal with problems in the mainline system, pigging work is carried out. Pigging is one of the routine maintenance carried out in the world of piping, the aim is to carry out maintenance on pipelines by inserting a tool called pig into the pipeline through the pig launcher. This study analyzes the economic value of pigging work to determine the feasibility level of a job by calculating economic values such as NPV, IRR and POT. This study also analyzes the economic sensitivity that affects the price of oil that occurs as a result of the work being carried out. Based on the research that has been done, the results of the economic indicators on pigging work in field X have been found with an NPV value of $ 234,004.95 and an IRR of 58.9%. While the Pay out Time value is obtained within 1.8 months, where the payback time is very fast. The Profitability Index value is 1.31 where the value is more than 1 and can be declared feasible for the pigging work
