Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership style on organizational commitment. This research was conducted with the title “The Influence of Transformational Leadership Style on Organizational Commitment at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru". The sample used in this study were 41 respondents, which were taken from the human resources department, procurement & IT department, and planning & sustainability section. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that partially the transformational leadership style variable had a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru, with t count 3.742 > t table 0.308. Meanwhile, the contribution given by transformational leadership style to organizational commitment is 0.264 or 26.4%.
