Abstract

Efforts to Improve Volleyball Lower Passing Skills through Teaching Variations of Class XI.1 Students of SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya. The purpose of this study was to improve the basic techniques of Lower Passing by using the teaching variation method for class XI.1 students of SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya. The research was conducted in Juni. The form of research is qualitative research of respondents or research subjects referred to as informants, that is, people provide information about the data the researcher wants related to the research being carried out. The subjects in this study were students of class XI.1 SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya divided into one (1) class with a total of 22 students. The basic technique of passing under volleyball students using a variation model of teaching in class XI.1 SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya initial data is 31.82% (7 students), then the first cycle is 54.55% (12 students), while the second cycle is achieved the percentage of completeness is 86.36% (19 students). This shows that the students began to understand the practice of the basic technique of passing under volleyball using the teaching variation model taught by the teacher, but the average score had not yet reached the predetermined completeness, namely 80.00%. Whereas in cycle II the students' average skills were categorized as competent with an average completeness of 80.11 (86.36%, completing 19 people) which indicates that the classical completeness specified in this study was 80%.
