Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of the Grenek studio, especially the managerial functions which include: planning, organizing, actuating, controlling. This study uses a qualitative approach. This study took the subject of the Grenek Studio in Ujung Batu, Rokan Hulu Regency. the informant in this study was Seprinaldo and the leader of the Grenek studio. Data collection techniques using direct observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive technique. The theory used is George R. Terry which states that management is a process or framework of activities that involves the guidance or direction of a group of organizational people or real intentions. There are four important things from a management system, namely planning, organizing, mobilizing, and controlling. The pattern used in the studio activities is simplicity, brotherhood, mutual respect, and high spirits. Planning aspects include dance materials and training schedules. The organizing aspect has been formed, but there is often a duplication of tasks. the mobilization aspect is carried out in stages, the implementation of the activity schedule may change conditionally. Aspects of supervision, including every activity supervised directly by the head of the studio, such as in the process of training and dance performances.
