Abstract

COVID-19 is a new type of pneumonia caused by novelcoronavirus, which was first discovered in Wuhan China on December 31, 2019. Medical personnel are the leading profession who directly interacts with COVID-19 patients. In line with the increase in cases, it is overwhelming for medical personnel to handle COVID-19 patients. This situation has an impact on the physical and psychological decline of the medical personnel. The data collection technique used in this study used Accidental Sampling, using the DASS 42 questionnaire method. The analysis of this research used quantitative descriptive analysis of 149 subjects, most of the health workers in the province in Riau had normal, moderate or moderate psychological stress. On the depression subscale, there were 117 (78.5%) individuals included in the normal category, on the anxiety subscale, there were 75 (50.3%) individuals included in the depression subscale, while on the stress subscale, there were 126 (84.6%) individuals included in the normal category.
