Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of the implementation of the Nandung tradition at the Aqiqah event in Pasir Kelampapan Village, Sungai Lala District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province and to determine the value contained in the Nandung tradition at the aqiqah event in Pasir Kelampapan Village, Sungai Lala District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using the theory of law. Hamidy every event of life usually takes place with a ceremony. Every ceremony includes time, place or space, equipment, ceremonial text, performers and participants of the ceremony, thus the ceremony is a tradition that always takes part in the span of human life (2006: 241). The data collection method used by the researcher is the technique of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the form of the implementation of the Nandung tradition at the aqiqah event in Pasir Kelampapan Village, Sungai Lala District, Indargiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province starting from the time of the tradition which was held at noon after the magrib prayer and after isha prayer, the place for the implementation of the tradition was the house, the equipment used in the tradition was a swing. and gebane, the text used has many monotheistic sentences, the actors and spectators of the tradition have no age limit, and the implementation does not have a special ritual or process and the values contained in the Nandung tradition are truth values, moral values, aesthetic values and religious values.
