Abstract
Boiler is a cover used to produce steam. The steam produced is then used as the main driver in running the palm oil production machines. This study aims to calculate the availability of boiler performance in order to know the operating conditions of engine components, so that the production process runs optimally and avoids unwanted bad conditions. The right method to measure machine performance and availability is the mathematical analysis method, this method is to calculate the availability, failure rate of a component component. From the results of 3 years of data on the use of the availability of boiler components at the Sumatra Makmur Lestari PKS, the company's achievement category level of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value of 90.8% in 2019, 87.7% in 2020, and 89.7% in 2021. From the results of these 3 years, the quality of maintenance is included in the good category, although some of it has decreased, the maintenance system must be further improved so that the level of the world class category increases with a percentage of 99%.
