Abstract
This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of biology students in class VII8 of SMP 21 Pekanbaru in the Academic Year 2018/2019 by applying the Guided Inquiry Learning Model with an Outdoor Learning Approach which was carried out on March 25, 2019 to May 2, 2019. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this study were Class VII8 students of SMPN 21 Pekanbaru, which amount 38 students from 16 male students and 22 female students. The parameters measured are student learning outcomes in the form of absorption and student learning completeness consisting of individual and classical completeness. The data analysis was performed descriptively to determine the absorption of PPK (Cognitive) and KI (Psychomotor). The absorption of PPK value of students before CAR 67,29% increased in the first cycle to 81,42% and in the second cycle increased again to 85,26%. Classical completeness of the value of PPK before PTK 52,63% increased in the first cycle 89,47% and in the second cycle increased again to 100%. The absorption of KI of students before PTK 70,18% increased in the first cycle to 75,32% and in the second cycle increased again to 85,78%. Classical completeness of KI score of students before PTK 52,63% increased in cycle I 73,63% and in cycle II it increased again to 100%.It can be concluded that by applying the Guided Inquiry Learning Model with the Outdoor Learning Approach can improve the learning outcomes of Science Students in Class VII8 of SMP 21 Pekanbaru.
