Abstract

The principle of politeness is very important in everyday life, it is not uncommon for misunderstadings to occur between the speaker and the interlocutor. In polite speech, the message can be conveyed well to the interlocuto, it is necessary to pay attention to the princioles of language politeness. This research is entitled “Principles Of Language Politeness In The Deddy;s Corner Program on Trans Tv�. The formulation of the problem thet is limited in this study is : how are the principles of language politeness un the Deddy’s Corner program on Trans Tv. The purpose of this study was to identify and obtain data on the maxims of politeness in speech in the Deddy’s corner program on Trans Tv. The author uses the theory proposed by Leech in Rahardi (2005).This research method is content analysis mothod. Data collection techniques in this atudy are listening techniqus and note-taking techniques. The data analysis techniques in this study are 1) data that is still in the form of oral speech between the presenter and guest stars in the video of the Deddy’s Corner program on Trans Tv, the author changes the written language, 2) identifies the maxims of language politenessin the Deddy’s Corner program on Trans Tv, 3) classifying the maxims of politeness principles in the Deddy�s Corner show onTrans Tv, 4) analyzing the maxims of politeness in the Deddy’s Corner show on Trans Tv, 5) interpreting the data on the maxims of piliteness in the Deddy’s Corner show on Trans Tv, 6) concluding the research results with the problem in results and 7) report the results in written fromat that has been formed. The results of this study are the maxim of wisdom 10 utterances that meet the maxims and 3 utterances that include violations, the maxim of generosity 2 utterances that meet the maxims, the maxim of appreciation 3 utterances that meet the maxims and 1 utterance of violation, the maxim of simplicity is not found, the maxim of consensus 39 utterances that meet the maxims and 5 utterances that include violation and maxim of sympathy 2 utterances that meet the maxim of sympathy while the author's violation is not found.Based on the speech which includes the maxim of politeness principle in the Deddy's Corner program on Trans Tv, the speech that is often found is included in the maxim of politeness, namely the maxim of consensus, which is 39 utterances.While the most frequent violation is the maxim of agreement or compatibility, because the speaker and the interlocutor do not match, there is a violation of the maxim of agreement between the guest star and the host in the Deddy's corner program on Trans Tv.
