Abstract

Minangkabau cultural values are concepts that exist in the mind of the Minangkabau people that are valuable, valuable and important which are new to the Minangkabau people. The problem in this research is: What are the cultural values of Minangkabau in the novel Aku Not Beli Cintamu by Desni Intan Suri? This study aims to describe the cultural values of the Minangkabau in the novel Aku Not Beli Cintamu by Desni Intan Suri. The scope of the problem includes literary criticism, especially Minangkabau cultural values. The theory put forward by C. Klukhohn (1987), Koentjaraningrat (2015), Naim (2013), Amir M.S (2011), Mulyadi (1999). The research approach used is a qualitative approach. This type of library research (library research), the method that I use is descriptive method. The novel used as the data source for this research is the novel I Don't Buy Cintamu by Desni Intan with a total of 256 pages published by the Window Publisher, and the data technique is the hermeneutical technique. The results are (1) the cultural values ​​of Minangkabau language elements in the novel I Don't Buy Your Love by Desni Intan Suri, there are 13 data, namely those related to morphology, syntax and semantics. (2) the cultural value of the elements of the knowledge system in the novel I Don't Buy Your Love by Desni Intan Suri, there are 7 data related to the natural surroundings, the traits and behavior of fellow humans as well as space and time. (3) The Minangkabau cultural value elements of social organization in the novel I Don't Buy Your Love by Desni Intan Suri, there are 19 data related to the matriarchal system, the role of mamak from among mothers, pusako property, and collected money. (4) The Minangkabau cultural value elements of the livelihood system in the novel I Don't Buy Your Love by Desni Intan Suri, there are 4 data, namely with civil servants, lecturers and the work of one of the government banks, trading and assistant. (5) Minangkabau cultural values The elements of the religious system in the novel I Don't Buy Your Love by Desni Intan Suri contain 16 data, namely those related to belief in the power of God, carrying out the commands of Allah Most High and belief in the Holy Koran.
