Abstract
Penyasawan Village, Kampar Subdistrict, indicates that crime is increasing every year, people who are not orderly in raising livestock that disturb residents' yards, therefore the role of the village head is needed in fostering order and peace in the village community. This research is a descriptive research conducted by survey using qualitative methods. Data from interviews with informants can be concluded, including: the capacity of the village government in maintaining peace and order in the community in the village of Pengasawan, Kampar sub-district, Kampar district with 3 indicators, namely: Understanding, Skills, and Ability are quite good. The obstacle to implementing the village head's obligations in maintaining peace and order is the lack of self-awareness from some people to assist the village government in realizing peace and order in the village environment.
