Abstract

The development of electric motor technology that is carried out to save production costs is to analyze the power of the electric motor in the pellet printing machine against the resulting product. The power percentage of the electric motor is varied with the aim of obtaining the quantity of products and the efficiency of the production produced. This study aims to determine the effect of electric motor power on pellet printing machines on production efficiency. In this study, the electric motor power chosen was 0.25 HP or 0.186 kW with a rotation of 2800 rpm. The results showed that the percentage of power to power and the number of revolutions in the pellet printing machine were obtained that at a percentage of 100% power produced the highest power, namely 0.186 kW and 2800 rpm. While the lowest power is obtained that at a percentage of 20% power produces 0.0372 kW of power and 560 rpm of rotation. The result of production capacity against the percentage of power gets the highest production capacity, which is 28.56 Kg / Hour due to the percentage of motor power of 100%, while the lowest production capacity result is 3.71 Kg / Hour due to the percentage of power of 20%. This is due to the fact that large power and rotation will increase the yield of production capacity and the large amount of work on the motor accelerates the yield from production. The result of production efficiency to power The highest efficiency is 13.17 Kg / kW at a power of 0.1488 kW while the lowest efficiency is 8.33 Kg / kW at a power of 0.0372 kW. This is due to the maximum power consumption of losses at engine speed and also results in degredation in the efficiency of the machine production.
