Abstract

The problem in this research is to analyze personal pronouns, pointing pronouns, and questioner pronouns. The purpose of this research is to identify, analyze, and transcribe personal pronouns, pointing pronouns, and interrogator pronouns in the dialect of Pulau Aro Village. The method used by the author in this study is a descriptive method and the approach that the author uses in this study is a qualitative approach. Data collection technique in this research is interview. The results of this study can be concluded that the personal pronouns found in the dialect of Pulau Aro Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency are 30 pronouns, the indicating pronouns found in the dialect of Pulau Aro Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency are 21 pronouns, and the pronouns of the questioner contained in the dialect of Pulau Aro Village, Central Kuantan District, Kuantan Singingi Regency as many as 19 pronouns. The conclusion of this study is that personal pronouns are divided; (1) The singular personal pronouns are d�n/d��n, kami, awaʔ, and ambo, (2) the plural first person pronouns are kami and awaʔ, (3) the second singular personal pronoun is kaw , (4) The plural second person pronoun is you, (5) The singular third-person pronoun is oɳo, and (6) the plural third-person pronoun is uraŋ. Pointing pronouns are divided; (1) The general denoting pronouns, tu, plague, iko, and ge, (2) the pronouns indicating the place at siko, there, and sinan, (3) the pronouns indicating that, cəiʔo, and cəitu. The pen pronoun is divided; apo, po, di mano, ke mano, apo, billo, pəbilo, baʔpo, and brapo.
