Abstract

This research was conducted in Harapan Makmur Village, Bagan Sinembah Raya District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out how community participation in Harapan Makmur Village, and to find out what community efforts are in developing the physical development that is already available, and to find out what efforts the village government has made. Made so that public awareness will grow to participate in developing the village. This study uses a quantitative method in the form of descriptive analysis, namely research that intends to take careful and comprehensive measurements of a particular concept or social phenomenon, and this research develops concepts and collects facts. In this study the population and sample taken were the Kepenghuluan Government, Social Institutions, and Community of Harapan Makmur Village. For the Government Village, namely using a census sampling technique, because the population in the Harapan Makmur Village office is relatively small and it is easy for all respondents to be found because they are in the same workplace so that it is possible to census one by one and retrieve information on existing data sources in the office Harapan Makmur Village. Meanwhile, social and community institutions were taken using proportional random sampling technique, namely, random sampling (simple random). The theory in this research is according to Yadav (in Mardikanto and Poerwoko, 2017; 82), by determining 4 indicators of classification in participation. After all data were analyzed using quantitative methods, the results of research on Participation Analysis in Physical Development in Harapan Makmur Village, Bagan Sinembah Raya District, Rokan Hilir Regency, were in the "Good Enough" category.
