Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analize the effect of biographical characteristics on employee performance at PT.Arvena Sepakat, Batang Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The population in this study omounted to 82 people, focused on permanent daily employees, using the saturated sample method (census method) when all members of the population were used as samples, so that the samples in this study omounted to 82 people. Data collection techniques were obtained using questionnaires and conducting interviews. Data analysis in this research is using descriptive analysis method and quantitative analysis. The testing technique in this research is using the SPSS 21 calculator which consists of validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient (r), test hypothesis (t), coefficient of determination (�2). Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, it shows thas the variable of biographical caracteristics has a significant effect on employee performance at PT. Arvena Sepakat, Batang Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The results of the correlation test analysis (r) show that there is a positive and strong correlation between the variable biographical characteristics and the employee performence variable. And the results of the hypothesis test (t) show that biographical characteristics (X) have a significant effect on employee performence (Y). And the results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination (�2). Indicate that the variable of biographical characteristics effects employee performence variables and the rest is influenced by other factors that are not known or not contained in the study.
