Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem in students’ emotional quotient that was happened to some students at Islamic Junior High School Sawah Village North Kampar Sub-district Kampar Regency. There were some problems such as could not handle emotional, easy angry, lack of communication skill such as nervous and anxiety and so on. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of Al-Qur’an recitation intensity on students’ emotional quotient at Islamic Junior High School Sawah Village Kampar Regency. This research used quantitative with correlational approach. The population and sample was all students in 45 students. Data collection technique by using questionnaire and documentation. This research consisted of two variables, X (Al-Qur’an recitation Intensity) and Y (emotional Quotient). From hypothesis test result with significant score p = 0.003 < 0.05 which that meant there was any influence of Al-Qur’an recitation intensity on students’ emotional quotient at Islamic junior high school Sawah Village North Kampar Sub-district Kampar Regency. The influence could be seen from summary table where R square score in 0.187 or 18.7%. it showed that emotional quotient was influenced by Al-Quran recitation intensity in 18.7% with very low category. It could be concluded that from this research finding, there was any influence of Al-Quran recitation intensity on students emotional quotient at Islamic junior high school Sawah Village North Kampar Sub-district Kampar Regency.
