Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of students cognitive learning achievement in learning fiqh. This research problem focused on was there any influence of drill method on Al-Quran recitation skill of class VII students at Modern Islamic Boarding School Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. The purpose in this research examined to know about the influence of drill method on Al-Quran recitation skill of class VII students at Modern Islamic Boarding School AlKautsar Pekanbaru. The population took class VII students at Modern Islamic Boarding School Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru that was 37 students. This research consisted of two variables where drill method (variable X) and Al-Qur’an recitation skill (variable Y). This research finding showed that there was no influence of drill method on students’ Al-Qur’an recitation skill. It could be seen from data computation by using IBM SPSS statistic 22 for windows that simple regression analysis got significant score bigger than 0.05 where 0.085 > 0.05. The hypothesis explained that there was no influence of drill method on Students Al-Quran recitation skill at Modern Islamic Boarding School Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. The hypothesis was rejected. The small contribution between drill method (variable X) got contribution in 0.384% on AlQur’an recitation skill (variable Y). Meanwhile 0.62 Al-Qur’an recitation skill was influenced by others factor that was not researched in this research. It meant that, the influence of drill method on Students Al-Quran recitation skill at Modern Islamic Boarding School Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru was in low� category.
