Abstract
The purpose in this research examined to describe the difference Islamic education learning achievement by using recitation method and lecture method at SMPIT Az-Zuhra Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru City. This research was a quasi experiment with pretest and posttest design. This research used an experiment group and a control group. The population was students at SMPIT Az-Zuhra Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru City in 40 students and the sample was 40 students. Data collection technique used test and documentation; meanwhile data analysis technique used t test statitical technique (independent and paired samples) by using SPSS 21 program. Research finding showed that there was any significant different (sig.001) between students used recitation method and lecture method. Besides, recitation method had been proved effectively to increase Islamic education learning achievement and it could be seen in significant level (sig.000) between pretest and posttest.
