Abstract
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LONELINESS AND QUARTER-LIFE CRISIS IN This identity crisis is known as the quarter-life crisis. The developmental task in early adulthood is to build intimate relationships with other people such as family, friends, romantic relationships or with the environment. Individuals who do not succeed in building intimate relationships with other people will withdraw from the environment so that loneliness occurs. This study aims to determine the relationship between loneliness and quarter-life crisis in early adulthood in Pekanbaru. This research is a quantitative research with correlation method involving 189 respondents in early adulthood with an age range of 23-29 years using accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this research is the quarter-life crisis scale and the Loneliness scale. statistical analysis using the Spearmen rho correlation test. The results of data analysis of 0.792 show that there is a positive relationship between loneliness and the quarter-life crisis. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between loneliness and quarter-life crisis in early adulthood in Pekanbaru.
