Abstract
Communication Patterns between Free Fire Online Game players which can be a scientific formulation that describes the communication patterns of online game players and communication messages related to their favorite free fire online game. Researchers are interested in conducting this research because the results of initial observations or surveys show that there are still many teenagers who play free fire games. In this study, the method used is descriptive qualitative method, namely by conducting research that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior. This research uses descriptive method and the type of field research (field research). Descriptive method is a research method that describes the state of symptoms and phenomena that occur in the field. The subjects of this study consisted of 4 students who were students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Putih who were in class VII, VIII and IX. Subjects were taken using purposive sampling technique. The criteria for this technique are students who have played free fire online games for more than 2 years and are still students at the SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Putih school. The results of the study say that the communication process that occurs between free fire online game players is a communication process for delivering messages from the incoder who is a free fire online game player in the form of verbal and non-verbal messages received by fellow teammates and in this process also getting feedback. and also there is a disturbance in how the communication process in general. The pattern of communication carried out by free fire online game players in this study has three forms, namely linear, interactional and circular.
