Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between the use of mass media as a source of information and the satisfaction of information obtained from a media for the Covid 19 vaccine issue. This study uses the uses and gratification theory which focuses on the use of media to obtain gratification so that of a person's need for information. The method used in this research is explanative quantitative method. The number of samples in this study were 93 respondents who are members of youth mosques in Indonesia which were obtained using probability sampling technique. This study shows the results that the use of media has a significant relationship to the satisfaction of an information for mosque youth. The results showed that the correlation coefficient was r 0.651 at a significant level < 0.05. So the media relationship about the use of media as information on the Covid 19 vaccine to meet the information needs of mosque youth in Indonesia is included in the category of moderate correlation, which is in the range of 0.41 - 0.60, and the more the use of media is used for information, the satisfaction with a information is getting bigger. In testing the hypothesis, it was found that the use of mass media has a relationship with the satisfaction of an information.
