Abstract

The decline in production in old wells cannot be avoided due to the many problems that occur in the production process. To exploit oil and gas, different methods and technologies are needed depending on the conditions and problems in the well. To exploit hydrocarbons, hydraulic fracturing is carried out, namely hydraulic fracturing, while for methane gas is required. different methods. In recent years, hydraulic fracturing technology has developed enormously, because the use of this technology has increased oil and gas production in America. This research was conducted in the central Sumatran basin, namely the K well, where this well is part of the H formation. in the field N. Formation H is Early Miocene- Middle Miocene (N7-N11). In this study, the parameters to be compared are the fracture geometry model and the type of proppant used, which in the end will be compared with the fracture geometry type and the suitable proppant type to be applied to N wells. In this study, the fracture geometry models compared are the PKN and KGD models. , from the results of this study the KGD fracture model is recommended to be used because the proppant distribution in this geometric model is more widespread, from this study it was found that the Arrizona sand proppant gave a higher cumulative production value than the other 2 types of proppant, with the choice of the KGD fracture geometry model and the type of proppant arrizona sand obtained cumulative oil production of 51614 STB.
