Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of Palm Oil Solid Waste (Sludge) and Phonska NPK on Cucumber Plant Growth and Yield. This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 3 months starting from June to August 2021. This study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Palm Oil Waste (Sludge) (S) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 250, 500, 750 g per plot and the second factor is NPK Phonska (P) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 5, 10, 15 g of cropping. Parameters observed were flower age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, longest fruit length, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit, largest fruit diameter, and number of remaining fruits. The data from the treatment observations were statistically analyzed and continued with the 5% BNJ follow-up test. The results showed that the interaction of Palm Oil Waste (Sludge) and Phonska NPK had a significant effect on flower age, longest fruit length, fruit weight per plant, and fruit weight per fruit. The best treatment is a combination of Palm Oil Solid Waste (Sludge) 750 g/plot and Phonska NPK fertilizer 10 g/plant (S3P2). The main effect of Palm Oil Solid Waste (Sludge) is significant on the parameters observed, the best treatment for giving palm oil solid waste (sludge) 750 g/plot (S3). The main effect of Phonska NPK fertilizer was significant on the observed parameters. The best treatment was giving Phonska NPK fertilizer 10 g/plant (P2).
