Abstract

Air Pollution Monitoring System is an application that uses information technology to make it easier to monitor air pollution. The concept of the air pollution monitoring system is still being applied manually, So it takes a long time to determine air quality. This system can make it easier for users to monitor air quality, so that users get air quality data faster than anywhere just by using a smartphone. Therefore, a system was developed that can help simplify the process of problems that exist in the UIR environment, so that the ongoing process is relatively faster and more efficient. The research method used in this study is a manual method that describes facts and information accurately with the stages of data collection and software and hardware development. In applications made using descriptive data collection techniques. To get the data, a trial was conducted in the UIR Faculty of Engineering building. The result of this research is an air pollution monitoring system that starts from determining the location and how the air quality is developed using a mobile-based system.
